As you go down a hill between Gifford and Haddington, there is a large area of a field that has been planted with sunflowers. There is a sign "Pick Your Own 5 For A £1. This is the second year they have been sown and yesterday I stopped and picked some, the lady farmer responsible, happened to be there and we got chatting. This is a set a side area and they had just thought it would be nice and colourful to have the sunflowers, that was the only reason they had done it. What a great idea and what a lot of pleasure it gives, not just picking but also the view of the sunny sunflower faces
I'm very much an amateur photographer. I live in the hills of the Scottish Borders which has fantastic flora and fauna, as well as wonderful light.
