Over The Wall

Posted by
Christine (Ellemford, United Kingdom) on 8 October 2010 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Amberley Castle was erected as a 12th century manor house and fortified in 1377. It then had a stonework enclosure with high curtain walls, towers, a hall and a gateway and was used as a fortress for the bishops of Chichester. It is now a hotel and we were very lucky to stay there for a friends wedding.

I'm very much an amateur photographer. I live in the hills of the Scottish Borders which has fantastic flora and fauna, as well as wonderful light.

That wall looks eerily like ice creations in a garden, or are my eyes
really ruined early this morning? Beautiful work.
