Swing Yer Kilt

Posted by
Christine (Ellemford, United Kingdom) on 13 August 2010 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

I love the sound of the bagpipes outside! A proper well made kilt is quite heavy and has a wonderful swing when marching.

I'm very much an amateur photographer. I live in the hills of the Scottish Borders which has fantastic flora and fauna, as well as wonderful light.

Would be a wonderful show to see, as they play and march for the
people at the campsite, the kilts look beautifully made.

13 Aug 2010 11:00am

@Phil David Alexander Morris: They are well made kilts, you can tell by the number of pleats and the weight of the material. This is a very small pipe band a big one with a major at the front is spectacular :)

MARIANA from Waterloo, Canada

Love their skirts . They are so cute :)

I can hear the reel played in unison across the field, and the gunshot snare propelling the kilted marchers to tally ho ;p.

Hummmmm! This kilt plaid looks, from a distance, like the "Lindsay" plaid, which is the plaid of my family a ways back. Nice to see this event !
