Let's Dance 4/5Posted by Christine (Ellemford, United Kingdom) on 21 June 2012 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. It would appear that the definition of a great puffin shot is one with sand eels in it's beak or flying.....says who? Yes I have seen some fabulous photos, loved them and better than I could take BUT I couldn't have cared less that they didn't have sand eels and I was so busy watching them I didn't click fast enough to get a satisfactory flying shot. They are funny, friendly and oh so cute, there is talk of puffin therapy, I can see why, the two hours I was there absolutely flew by, I loved every minute of it. I have wanted to see puffins for a very long time, when we landed on the Island of Lunga I was actualy nervous, climbing up the hill I was wondering what it would be like, would there only be the odd puffin here and there and people clustered around them. Well, at the top I could not believe my eyes there were hundreds of them, I could have my very own puffin, it was magical. I'm very much an amateur photographer. I live in the hills of the Scottish Borders which has fantastic flora and fauna, as well as wonderful light.
